After training as a makeup artist in Sydney in 2002, Sue moved to Tropical North Queensland, where she looked after hundreds of brides, from the local girls of Cairns, to brides visiting from interstate and overseas, getting married in the top five star resorts of Palm Cove and Port Douglas.  Sue was the owner and operator of Blush Make up Designs where she was twice a finalist in the Qld Bridal Industry Awards for Best Make-up Artist (2005 and 2006).
